Pietro’s Pizza started in 1957 in Longview, WA. In 1988, Pietro’s Corp. based in Bothell, WA, purchased the pizza chain from Campbell Soup Co. The Pietro’s Corp. entered into a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in 1995. At that time there were 45 stores in Oregon and Washington. In 1996, the 18 restaurants in Oregon where purchased by Chicago Pizza and Brewery. Many of these locations were converted to BJ’s Pizza’s and others were sold. In 2004, the three remaining Oregon Pietro’s Pizza restaurants (Milwaukie, Hood River and Salem) were sold to Ken Bay and Ray David and continue to operate under the name.
